There will be no public sale of Cinergy Field seats this weekend, O'Rourke Wrecking Co. officials said Wednesday.
O'Rourke, the company with the contract to demolish the riverfront home of the Cincinnati Reds, had planned a public sale of Cinergy seats and other memorabilia from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
Jacquelyn S. Schurger, executive vice president of O'Rourke, said the company is using this week to fill large orders and do an inventory of the remaining material. Sometime after Sunday, Ms. Schurger said, O'Rourke will announce plans for a public sale.
Ms. Schurger said information on the public sale would be posted on the company's Web site, www.orourkewrecking.com.
This past Saturday, thousands stood in the rain in long lines at the company's Lunken Park Drive headquarters to buy up about 10,000 Cinergy Field seats. O'Rourke's demolition contract with Hamilton County makes everything in the 32-year-old ball park O'Rourke's property.
The seats are being sold for $35 each, with a minimum of four seats.
