FRANKLIN, Ind. - Ricky Story rushed 29 times for 183 yards as Mount St.Joseph beat Franklin 28-13 in a Heartland Conference game on Saturday.
Mike Dane completed touchdown passes of 16, 24, and 5 yards for the Lions (2-2, 1-0). He finished the game 15-of-23 passing for 134 yards.
Jeremy Neibert completed 18 of 29 passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns for the Grizzlies (0-4, 0-1). He also rushed 17 times for 83 yards, including a 43-yarder.
Capital 27, Wilmington 7
WILMINGTON - Rayshaun Gales ran 22 yards and Danny Edghill 20 to score touchdowns for Capital.
Gales put Capital (3-1, 3-0 Ohio Athletic Conference) up 20-7 over Wilmington (2-2, 1-2) when he scored his touchdown with 14:16 left in the second quarter.
Edghill got his TD with 5:39 remaining in the third quarter to put the Crusaders ahead of the Quakers 27-7.
Hanover 49, Manchester 7
NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - Brett Dietz completed 19 of 25 passes for 264 yards and three touchdowns to lead Hanover (4-1, 1-0) in a Heartland Conference game.
Another Spartans quarterback, Justin Pelley, completed 6 of 7 passes for 127 yards. He threw two touchdown passes in the second quarter to give Hanover a 28-0 lead.
Wittenberg 53, Denison 7
SPRINGFIELD - Daniel Grove had three of Wittenberg's five first-half rushing touchdowns in the conference opener for both teams.
Grove scored on a 39-yard run three minutes into the game and added a 14-yard TD run late in the quarter. He had a 5-yard touchdown run with 2:31 left in the half and finished with 173 yards rushing.
Raymar Hampshire had two rushing TDs for Wittenberg (4-0).
