I hope he gets life in prison. I hope he never gets out a day in his life.
Randy Joe Slider, 40, of Moscow was arrested late Tuesday on Ohio 63 near Interstate 75 after he crashed a stolen car while leading police officers on a dramatic, high-speed chase.
He is charged with aggravated robbery, kidnapping and rape in Hamilton County, and aggravated robbery and kidnapping in New Richmond.
Ms. Arnett said Mr. Slider climbed into the back seat of her car as it sat idling in a Speedway parking lot in New Richmond about 4:40 a.m. Saturday. He popped up and put a knife to her throat after she returned to the car. . She hit him with a pop bottle and escaped after he forced his way behind the wheel.
It's been horrible the past four days with him on the road, said Ms. Arnett, an accounting student at University of Cincinnati's Clermont campus.
Hours before Ms. Arnett was attacked, Mr. Slider was arrested by New Richmond police on several traffic charges, including driving under the influence.
He did test over the legal limit, New Richmond Officer Kenneth Frasure said.
But because it was Mr. Slider's first DUI in at least six years, he received a summons to New Richmond Mayor's Court and was released.
On Monday evening a woman was abducted at knifepoint at her car in Anderson Township, robbed and raped.
The woman's 2000 Toyota Camry was spotted on Ohio 4 at 11:20 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Slider was driving it, deputies said.
The car crashed in a field after a chase.
