Miami back wins conference honor

        Miami running back Luke Clemens earned his first Mid-American Conference honor as co-East Division offensive player of the week.

        Clemens, who started for injured Cal Murray, rushed for a career-high 171 yards and two touchdowns in a 27-20 victory over Kent State.

        The RedHawks (1-2, 1-0) visit Akron (0-4, 0-1) at 6 p.m. Saturday.
