Hillel Jewish Student Center
The horror begins to sink in
At Hillel Jewish Student Center in University Heights on Wednesday morning, Mindy Kuhlman finally cried about Sept. 11.
Taking her turn at reading the long list of names of those who lost their lives in the attacks, she paused at a name in the P's.

I'm sorry, the Fort Mitchell resident said, choking back tears. There are just so many, just so many pages.
Though she had been preparing for the all-night vigil for weeks, it wasn't until she listened to others tell stories about where they were when terrorists flew two jets into the World Trade Center towers that the emotion hit her.
For the last three weeks I've been living this memorial, said the Xavier University junior, a program associate at Hillel. My schedule dictates my life and I don't allow myself to reflect. Today has given me 10 minutes to sit down by myself. As I was reading those names, it registered.
Ms. Kuhlman, 24, contemplated re-evaluating the hurried way she lives her life.
But, she allowed, Tomorrow I know I'll still probably just wake up and exist and that's 100 percent disappointing.
