Cox Road work shifting north

WEST CHESTER TWP. - The majority of the Cox Road construction will shift to the north today, and Cox will close between Hamilton-Mason Road and Service Center Drive.

The entrance to Cox Road at Tylersville Road will be reopened today. It has been closed since April, when construction began to widen the road from two to five lanes.

The intersection at Tylersville and Cox roads also will be reconfigured, and signals will be added at new roads along Cox north of Tylersville, just in time for a wave of new development on Cox.

The first building on a 75-acre, $100 million regional medical campus along Cox adjacent to Interstate 75 opens Sept. 1. A 500,000-square-foot shopping center anchored by Target is under construction and will open in the spring.
