Crenshaw commits to Kroger

Two-time Masters champion Ben Crenshaw announced Saturday he will play in the Kroger Senior Classic Sept. 6-8 at the TPC at River's Bend in Maineville.
Crenshaw, who will be inducted Nov.15 into the World Golf Hall of Fame, is in his first year on the Senior PGA Tour after winning 19 tournaments on the PGA Tour, including the 1984 and 1995 Masters and the 1976 Ohio Kings Island Open.
Crenshaw , a former Ryder Cup captain, will join a Kroger field that includes his 1972 NCAA co-champion Texas teammate, Tom Kite; Arnold Palmer; Lanny Wadkins; Bruce Lietzke; Larry Nelson; U.S. Senior Open champ Don Pooley; and defending Kroger champ Jim Thorpe.
