What's the Buzz?

Ethicon looking at change of site

Ethicon Endo-Surgery, a unit of Johnson & Johnson Co., reportedly plans to move out of its Alliance Road office in Blue Ash to another building near its corporate headquarters on Creek Road.

The move would free up a 100,000-square-foot space at Northmark Business Center II at Alliance Road and Reed Hartman Highway.

Company officials declined to comment on the move until a new lease is signed.

The firm has focused its search at Duke Realty Corp's One Ashview Place building, which is adjacent to Ethicon's 500-employee Creek Road headquarters.

Dan Ruh, Duke's leasing representative for One Ashview Place, declined to discuss the deal.

Michele Laumer, of Carey Laumer Commercial Realty, has been hired to market the Northmark building for its owner, Colorado-based Public Employees Retirement System. Ms. Laumer said the building's owner is seeking tenants needing 15,000 square feet or more.
