Rising American Taylor Dent was awarded the last wild-card spot into the Western & Southern Financial Masters main draw, and Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy grad Jason Zimmermann received a wild card into the qualifier.
Zimmermann, 19, the 2001 Ohio Division II state champion who 10 days ago finished runner-up in the Thomas E. Price Metropolitan championship, will be a sophomore at Duke. He got the first of four wild cards into the 32-man qualifier; he needs to win two matches to reach the main draw.
