Man gets 23 years in fatal kidnap

        BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - A man convicted of helping kidnap a Southwest Ohio businessman whose body was found days later was sentenced to 23 years in prison on Friday.

        Joe Alexander, 19, was sentenced in the kidnapping of Fred Smith last July.

        Mr. Alexander, of Fostoria, tackled and beat Mr. Smith, 43, of Eaton, Ohio, prosecutors said.

        Tabatha Ulsh and Jimmie Woodland are charged with killing Mr. Smith and are to stand trial later this year.
