Day Trader wins Matt Winn Stakes

LOUISVILLE, Ky. Day Trader held off Medlin Road by 1 3/4 lengths Saturday in the $109,600 Matt Winn Stakes for 3-year-olds at Churchill Downs.
Day Trader, ridden by Calvin Borel, ran six furlongs in 1:09.43, and paid $12, $5.80 and $4.60. He earned $67,952 for W.T. Young's Overbrook Farm, pushing his career total to $156,968 with three victories in seven starts.
Medlin Road returned $5 and $4, and Still Be Smokin' paid $4.60 to show.
