Promotions & new on the job

        • Judy Ingram has been named director of marketing at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. Ms. Ingram has worked for the airport board for more than 20 years. She was assistant director of communications. She will oversee marketing and air service development.

        • Mike Proctor and Laura Bofinger have been named account executives at LPK (Libby Perszyk Kathman) and Michael Wintrob to associate account executive.

        • Brian Kelley has been named corporate sales manager at the Newport Aquarium.

        • Dr. Robert Fitz, pediatrician/internist, has joined Summit Medical Group in the Union office.

        • Keith P. Spiller, partner at Thompson Hine LLP, has been named to the board of trustees for the Cincinnati Fire Museum.

        • Lewis Miller has been appointed president of the Sant Corp., provider of proposal automation software. Mr. Miller will assume responsibility for Sant's overall development and growth. He was chief executive officer of Synergistics Inc. He graduated from Bowling Green State University with a master's degree in international economics and a bachelor's degree in finance.

        • Brad Lewis has been named team leader for business analysts and senior project managers at Lucrum Inc.; Andrea Koth has joined the company as business analyst/project manager; and Kevin Suich joined as sales representative.

        • Nate Furniss has joined Western-Southern Life as sales manager, Hamilton district.

        • Jack Liedhanger has been appointed division manager for Cameo Marble, responsible for the Ohio market.

        • Stefan Antonsson has been appointed president of Xanodyne Pharmacal Inc. in Florence; Frank Tepe, national sales manager; Jennifer Richards, regulatory affairs manager; Nancy Zink, assistant brand manager; Penina Sachs, human resources manager; and Joseph Powell, IT manager.

        • Richard S. Newrock has been appointed dean of the University of Cincinnati College of Applied Science.

        • Stan Dwyer has joined Harlan Graphic Arts to create a new division within the company called, Harlan Exhibits. The new division will focus on the design and production of innovative portable trade show exhibits. For the past 15 years Mr. Dwyer was owner of Delta Displays LLC, an exhibit supplier to the Tri-State area.

        Melinda S. Fugate has been named regional secretary for Contech Construction Products Inc.

        • Jack Espelage has joined Dental Arts Laboratory & Sup ply Co. as chief operating officer and Jim Ferrara has been named vice president and technical director.

        • Larry Mustard has joined the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati as chief financial officer. Mr. Mustard will supervise the finances for 20 branches, 12 program centers, 85 childcare sites and two resident camps. He has more than 23 years of finance, accounting and operations experience. Most recently he was chief financial officer for Synchrony Communications Inc. He graduated from Ohio State University.

        • Melissa A. Hornsby has joined Barnes, Dennig & Co. Ltd. as marketing and seminar coordinator.

        • David J. McPherson has joined Frost Brown Todd LLC law firm as of counsel in the labor and employment department.

        • Daniel Klus and Glenn Yeager have been named vice presidents at Fifth Third Bank; Lisa Jones, assistant vice president; and Robert F. Eversole, assistant cashier.

        • Gregory Hopkins has been named vice president of patient support services at The Christ Hospital. Mr. Hopkins has held various management positions at the Health Alliance since 1989. He has served as director of business operations for Alliance Laboratory Services, business manager of perioperative services at The Christ Hospital and senior management engineer at The Christ Hospital.

        • Michael J. Griffith, president of global beverage at Procter & Gamble, has been elected to serve on the board of directors of Junior Achievement Inc.

        • Vicky L. Reed has been named sales/service representative for Dental Care Plus, a dental insurer.

        • Elaine Niemeyer has been named personal lines manager for Schiff-Kreidler-Shell Insurance and Risk Services and Elaynea Koenig, manager of the commercial select accounts department.

        • Nicholas Promponas has been named senior vice president of transit contracting for First Transit Inc.

        • Kimberly Elmer has been named director, product support and development at Integrated Fund Services Inc.

        • Richard D. Spencer has been appointed office director of the Cincinnati office of SCS Engineers.

        • Richard J. Ruebel has joined the law firm of Drew & Ward as partner practicing in the areas of estate planning and administration, nonprofit organizations, real estate, and general business law. He was a partner with the firm of Thompson Hine. He received his law degree from the University of Cincinnati and a bachelor's degree from Cornell University.

        • Todd Schneider has joined Casler Design Group as director of marketing and business development.

        • Monica France has been named director of the medical staff office at The University Hospital.

Awards & honors

        • Joseph Evelo of the Evelo Group in Cincinnati has been named Outstanding Broker of the Year by Primedia's Registered Rep magazine.

        • The Jewish Family Service annual report, written and designed by Jewish Family Service marketing director, Sherry Kaplan of Blue Ash, has been judged best in its category by the Association of Jewish Family & Children's Agencies (AJFCA), the parent body of over 145 Jewish communal agencies throughout the U.S. and Canada.

        • Pat Myers, director of social services at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, has received the 2002 Social Worker of the Year Award from District 6, the Ohio chapter of the National Association of Social Workers.

        • Mary Ann Stewart, an attorney with Adams, Stepner, Woltermann & Dusing P.L.L.C., has been named 2002 Boss of the Year by the Northern Kentucky Legal Secretaries Association.

        • Sara Bockhorn Huff, manager of Mr. Prescription Pharmacy in Centerville, is the 2002 recipient of the Distinguished Young Pharmacist Award of the Ohio Pharmacists Association.

        • Candace Kendle, chairman and chief executive officer of Kendle International Inc., is the 2002 recipient of the William Howard Taft Medal for Notable Achievement awarded by the University of Cincinnati.

        • Dr. Robert S. Heidt Sr., emeritus member and a founder of Wellington Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine, has received the John H. Clark MD, Leadership Award from the Federation of State Medical Boards of the United States Inc.

        • E.J. Foltz of Cartec Engineering Corp. has received the 2002 Award of Achievement in Private Practice from the Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers.


        • Union Central Life Insurance Co. has honored chairman Larry R. Pike with Chair in Insurance and Investments at the American College. Union Central will create a $1.5 million endowment for the college to sponsor the chair.


        • Roderick Gosa and David Reynolds, financial advisors from the local office of American Express Financial Advisors Inc., has relocated their office to the Mercantile Bank Center, 8001 Kenwood Road, suite 3 in Kenwood.
