CHICAGO Zdenek Blatny scored 4:10 into the second overtime as Chicago tied the best-of-three Western Conference qualifying series at a game apiece.
Kamil Piros tied the score at 2-2 for Chicago four minutes after Edam Edinger had supplied Cincinnati with the lead 5:40 into the second period with his second goal of the postseason.
Frederic Cassivi made 43 saves, including 18 in overtime, for the Wolves.
Joey MacDonald, appearing his first AHL game, stopped 46 of the 49 shots he faced in the losing effort for Cincinnati.
The Ducks and Wolves play the third and deciding game of the series today at Allstate Arena.
Cincinnati goaltender Jason Elliott was recalled by Detroit of the NHL. He went 11-16-7 with a 2.56 goals-against average this season.
Cincinnati recalled goaltender Aaron Vickar from Missouri of the United Hockey League. Vickar, 26, was 24-13-5 with a 3.19 goals-against average and .895 save percentage in 43 games with Missouri.
