Congrats


UC junior gets travel fellowship

        Junior Julie Krumpelbeck was awarded the Wolfstein Summer Travel Fellowship from the University if Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning.

        The daughter of Chris and Jack Krumpelbeck of Mack will study at the Painting School of Montmiral in the south of France in July.

Scholarships won

        The following have received scholarships from Ohio Northern University in Ada:

        Jeffrey Beck, a sophomore majoring in civil engineering from Delhi Township, was awarded the Leroy H. Lytle Student Aid Fund available to a worthy engineering student.

        Erin Simone, a second year pharmacy major from Anderson Township, received the George & Faye Harris Scholarship for qualified undergraduates.

        Philip Bange, a sophomore early childhood education major from Kennedy Heights, was awarded the Moston and Opal Wood Student Aid Scholarship for worthy students.

Exam passed

        Jennifer Roseberry of Fairfield has passed the National Registry Exam to become an Emergency Medical Technician Basic in the State of Ohio. She is a volunteer at the Fairfield Fire Department.

        Ms. Roseberry is a graduate of Fairfield High School.

On the dean's list

        The following were named to the fall semester dean's list at their college or university:

        Rishae Wood, a freshman nursing major, made the list at Gannon University, Erie, Pa. The Milford High School graduate is the daughter of Coletta and Randy Wood of Union Township, Clermont County.

        Deanna Brooks, a sophomore business administration major, made the list at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee. The St. Ursula Academy graduate is the daughter of Deborah and James Brooks of Paddock Hills.

Scholar awarded

        Katye Wilfong has been awarded the Scholars Award and Presidential Scholarship to attend the Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory in Berea, Ohio. She plans to major in musical theater.

        The senior and high honors student at Sycamore High School is the daughter of Linda and Charles Wilfong of Blue Ash.
