Hershey edges Ducks for 10th win in row

Tavis Hansen scored the winning goal in the third period and Phil Sauve made 35 stops, lifting the Hershey Bears to a 3-2 victory over the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks Sunday in the AHL at Cincinnati Gardens.
Jeff Daw finished with a goal and an assist for the Bears, who set a franchise record with their 10th consecutive victory and are unbeaten in their last 13 games (12-0-1-0). The Bears had won nine straight games three times in their 64-year history. All three Hershey teams went on to win the Calder Cup (1973-74, 1987-88 and 1996-97).
Jason Elliott stopped 40 of 43 shots and Jarrett Smith had both goals for the Ducks, who are winless in their last four games (0-3-1-0) and 3-10-2-0 in their last 15.
Cincinnati remains in the 10th and final playoff position in the Western Conference, two points behind Rochester with three games left to play in the regular season. The Ducks play Cleveland at 7:05 p.m. Wednesdday at Gund Arena.
