Mighty Crunch beat Ducks

        COLUMBUS — Jean-Francois Labbe made 24 saves for his third shutout of the season, leading the Syracuse Crunch to a 3-0 victory over the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks at Nationwide Arena.

        Kent McDonell, Martin Spanhel and Derrick Walser scored for the Crunch. The farm team of the Columbus Blue Jackets has won ners of five of its last six games. The Crunch moved into a first-place tie with Cincinnati in the Central Division.

        Labbe recorded his 24th career shutout, and second against Cincinnati. Jason Elliott stopped 24 shots for Cincinnati, which had its three-game win streak stopped.

        The Ducks host Norfolk at 7:35 p.m. today.
