Mighty Ducks 5, Cleveland 2




        CLEVELAND — Jason Williams scored two goals and Jason Elliott made 31 saves to lead the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks to a 5-2 victory over the Cleveland Barons Tuesday in the AHL.

        Antti-Jussi Niemi, Dave Roche and Jarrett Smith also scored for the Ducks, who have won two straight and six of their last nine (6-3-0-0). Aris Brimanis had two assists, ending a 13-game point drought for the Cincinnati captain.

        The Ducks are 3-1-0-0 in their last four road contests and moved past idle Syracuse into second place in the Central Division. They trail first-place Cleveland by two points with five games in hand.
