FLORENCE, Ky. — Racing at Turfway Park was canceled Thursday because weather made the track unsafe. Racing is expected to resume today.

        Racing also was canceled Wednesday after temperatures rose so fast that the frozen racing surface thawed unevenly. Rain on Thursday continued to make the track unsafe. Racing was expected to resume Friday tonight.

        Last winter, Turfway lost 16 dates because of weather.
