Recreation notes

        Running class in Milford — A technical running/race-walking class will be held from 9-10 a.m. Jan. 19 at Running Spot East, 106 Main St.

        Topics to be covered include: injury prevention, gait analysis and joint function as it pertains to distance walking and running. There is no charge.

Softball clinic
        DELHI TOWNSHIP — A fast-pitch softball clinic for players in grades 5-8 will be noon-3 p.m. Sunday at the College of Mount St. Joseph's Harrington Center.

        Subjects include hitting, bunting, base running, fielding and strategy. Cost is $25 per person, or $40 with instruction on pitching and catching from 3-4:30 p.m.

Youth sports
        SPRINGDALE — Sign-ups for Springdale Community Center youth baseball, softball and soccer programs take place from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday and 7-9 p.m. Jan. 15 at the center, 11999 Lawnview Ave.

        There are four programs: Instructional T-ball for 6-year olds; Knothole baseball for players ages 7-16; softball for girls ages 7-19; and soccer for children ages 6-up.

        Players must be community center members to participate. Cost is $10 per person for T-ball, $30 for soccer and $35 for baseball and softball.

Coed volleyball
        Registration is being taken for two Cincinnati Recreation Commission co-ed volleyball tourneys.

        The Valentine's Day tournament has two 6-player divisions - Class B for intermediate players and BB for advanced. The B tournament is Feb. 10 at Price Hill Community Center, 959 Hawthorne Ave., and the BB takes place Feb. 10 at Corryville Community Center, 2823 Eden Ave.

        Cost is $90 per team, and each team must consist of three men and three women. Registration deadline is Feb. 8.

Adult aerobics
        FOREST PARK — The Forest Park Recreation Department needs someone to teach adult aerobics.

Yoga classes
        SHARONVILLE — Registration is being taken for yoga classes at the Sharonville Community Center, 10990 Thornview Drive.

        Classes begin Jan. 31. Cost is $36 for Sharonville residents and $39 for nonresidents.

Hoops clinic
        FAIRFAX — A basketball clinic for players ages 8-13 will be held Jan. 21 at Cincinnati Sports Mall, 3950 Red Bank Road.

        Former Xavier University star Stan Kimbrough is the instructor. Cost is $48 for members and $60 for nonmembers.
