The relay leaves the Cincinnati area to go east along the Ohio River to Portsmouth and into West Virginia.
From there, the route goes across Pennsylvania and on to the East Coast before looping around, following the Great Lakes and returning to northern Ohio on Jan. 1. From Cleveland, the Olympic flame gets ferried to Columbus and Dayton, then moves into Indiana on a path to arrive at Salt Lake in February.
