EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. Patrick Roy, 37, recorded his career-best third consecutive shutout, and the Colorado Avalanche defeated the slumping New Jersey Devils 2-0 Sunday in a rematch of last season's Stanley Cup finals. Defenseman Rob Blake snapped a 12-game goal-less streak by scoring twice.
Rangers 6, Thrashers 2, at New York Eric Lindros scored three goals, including his 300th in the NHL, and assisted on another. Mike York had four assists and Theo Fleury three, giving the Lindros line 11 points in the game. It was Lindros' 12th career hat trick, first with the Rangers.
Kings 2, Wild 2, at St. Paul, Minn. Steve Heinze scored early in the third period to lift Los Angeles into a tie.
