Promotions & new on the job




        • Shari M. Fox has been appointed secretary of the National Committee on Planned Giving. Ms. Fox will also serve as an officer of NCPG, sitting on its executive committee. She joined Beech Acres, a child-focused family service agency, as vice president of development and community relations in 1997. When Beech Acres Foundation was incorporated in 2000, she became its first president.

        • Paul Beswick has been named senior manager at Ernst & Young LLP.

        • Phyllis L. Goodman has been appointed vice president of marketing and communications at Children's Hospital Medical Center, and Marianne Speight has been named vice president of information services.

        • Bill Cloppert, managing director at Barnes, Dennig & Co. Ltd., has been named to the board of executive advisers at Xavier University's Williams College of Business. Mr. Cloppert graduated with a bachelor's degree in accounting from Xavier University. He has been a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants since 1974.

        • Bryan Martin has joined SRW Environmental Services Inc. as industrial maintenance division manager; Mike Grob as industrial maintenance operations manager; Chuck Callahan and Todd Taylor as asbestos and lead division project managers; and Dr. Kenneth Reed as industrial hygienist.

        • Peggy Thurza has been appointed manager of Coldwell Banker West Shell, Florence office.

        • Kimberly Danker has been joined WCET (Channel 48) as new membership manager.

        • Trudy Engelhardt has been appointed senior account manager at TriData Technologies.

        • Cynthia S. Fiscus has been appointed assistant vice president for Sedgwick Claims Management Services Inc. Ms. Fiscus works in the Cincinnati office of Sedgwick CMS, where she is the workers compensation operations manager.

        • Amy Drake has joined PDT Architects as project designer.

        • Frank Tobey has been appointed regional vice president for transit management services at First Transit Inc.

        • The following have joined the Cincinnati Opera: Jared Doren, general assistant to the artistic and production departments; Marcus Kuchle, executive assistant to the artistic director; Natalie Maxwell, development associate, corporate giving; Lauren Scharf, events manager; Matthew Singleton, ticketing sales manager; Sneja Tomassian, development associate, individual giving; and Bonnie Tyler, donor services manager.

        • Scott P. Kadish has been named partner-in-charge of Ulmer & Berne LLP, Cincinnati office. Mr. Kadish has been in practice since 1985. He serves as a member of Ulmer & Berne's Business Law Group and Real Estate Group. He earned his bachelor's degree from Boston University and law degree from American University, Washington College of Law.

        • Kelly Devitt has been appointed president of the Kidney Foundation of Greater Cincinnati board of trustees. Other officers include Michael Wirthlin, chair; Randy McCorkle, president-elect; Cary Hines, treasurer; Carl Bersch, secretary. Dr. John J. Bissler, Cary Hines and Ed Zavalla were appointed board members. Officers of the medical advisory board are Dr. John Bissler, chair; and Dr. Tito Cavallo, vice chair. New medical advisory board members are Dr. Prabir Roy-Chaudhury; Dr. Amir Izhar; Dr. Shahzad Safdar and Dr. Ervin Steve Woodle.

        • Dr. Alan Mabry has joined Core Behavioral Health Centers, an affiliate of Talbert House, as executive director. Dr. Mabry is the clinical director of Talbert House. He previously was chief executive officer/clinical director of the Middletown Area Mental Health Center and executive director of the Clinton County Mental Health Center.

        • Stephanie K. Bowman has joined Barrett & Weber as an associate attorney. Ms. Bowman will practice in estate planning, corporate and family law.

        • David Andersen has joined DMR as senior vice president/systems and operations. DMR is a broadcast industry consulting firm.

        • Ernest Britton has been named director of external relations and public relations of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center; Lisa Popyk, director of marketing; Ron Williams has joined as director of information technology; Susan Staples as manager of human resources; Tanya Denny Armour, data control specialist; and Shirley Anneken, receptionist.

        • Rhonda Whitaker has been named area manager of Union Light Heat & Power Co., a subsidiary of Cincinnati Gas & Electric Co.

        • The following have joined the Cincinnati office of the newly formed Huntington Bank Equipment Finance: Kim Trombetta, senior vice president; Chang Cho, vice president, direct marketing; Herb Reeder, assistant vice president, portfolio manager; John Maurer, senior vice president and chief credit officer; Darlene Williams, vice president, operations manager; and Karen Wartman, documentation supervisor.

        • Allison Petschauer has joined Freedman, Gibson & White Inc. as a media assistant. Ms. Petschauer graduated from Miami University in May.

        • Brian Emerson has joined Jeff Wyler Alexandria as used-car sales manager; Jake Aschendorf joined as sales manager; and Bryan Floyd has joined Jeff Wyler Eastgate as imports parts manager.

        • Michael R. Combs has become associated with Rohrkemper & Ossege Ltd., certified public accountants and business consultants, as manager. Mr. Combs, a graduate of the University of Kentucky, is moving from Lexington.

        • Clifford A. Bailey, founder, president and chief executive officer of TechSoft Systems Inc., and Eugene P. Ruehlmann, former Cincinnati mayor and lawyer with Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP, have been appointed to the Union Institute's board.

Awards & honors

        • Earl Hatt, Realtor with Coldwell Banker West Shell of the Hyde Park office, has earned the President's Sales Club Award of Distinction from the Ohio Association of Realtors.

Expansions

        • CTI, a health-care service and consulting firm founded by Timothy Schroeder, has expanded and moved to new offices at 6460 Harrison Ave., Cincinnati 45247.

        • Fields Research has opened its new Mariemont location in the Mariemont Executive Building, 3814 West St., Suite 110. Fields Research conducts focus groups and telephone surveys.

Relocations

        • T. Vogel Studio Productions has moved from 920 Race St. to 214 E. Ninth St. downtown.

        • John Hancock Financial Services, Daniel J. Lehmkuhl Agency has moved from 10250 Alliance Road, Suite 223, Blue Ash to 300 E-Business Way, Suite 190, Sharonville 45241.

        • Jerome R. Klett has moved his law office to 3050 Harrison Ave., using office space at the law firm of Hyle and Mecklenborg.He focuses on wills, estates and real estate.
