Thomas More finishes 10-0
Thomas More, ranked No.19 in the American Football Coaches Association Division III poll, ended the season 10-0 after beating Maryville College 48-0 Saturday at Maryville, Tenn.
The 10-0 record is the Saints' third in the football program's 12-year history.
Senior quarterback Jesse Lowrey ran for 49 yards and three touchdowns and was 9-of-12 passing for 99 yards and a TD for Thomas More. Saints tailback Justin Frisk (Highlands) ran for two touchdowns and 150 yards.
The Division III playoff selections will be made at 2 p.m. today. The Saints missed the playoffs in their other 10-0 seasons.
