        COLUMBUS — Tommy Salo stopped 23 shots for his third shutout of the season as the Edmonton Oilers beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 3-0 Friday. Columbus is winless in all eight home games (0-6-2-0).

        • Blackhawks 3, Canucks 1, at Chicago — Mark Bell and Phil Housley scored 26 seconds apart in the second period, extending Chicago's home unbeaten streak to 10 games.

        • Hurricanes 3, Sharks 2, at Raleigh, N.C. — Rod Brind'Amour scored with 2:25 left to snap the Sharks' six-game unbeaten streak.

        • Devils 3, Leafs 2, OT, at East Rutherford, N.J. — Patrik Elias scored his third straight OT goal.

        • Coyotes 5, Stars 1, at Dallas — Shane Doan's power-play goal late in the first period was the first of five unanswered goals.
