Kentucky heart: If you can get by the wave of Big Blue sports memorabilia upon entering Uniquely Kentucky, 2341 Buttermilk Crossing in Crescent Springs, you reach the heart of Kentucky the work of its artisans. Owner Cordelia Schaber put her Bluegrass passion to work showcasing quilts, gourds, soaps and scents, music, carvings, pottery, jewelry, and food, including raspberry curd from Elmwood Inn in Perryville and Subtleties creamed apricot honey from Lancaster. The handmade jewelry includes quilt block jewelry based on animal tracks from Ken and Sally Gastineau of Berea, this silver wildcat pin ($39.95) that even non-UK fans would treasure from Abby Glen of Louisville and this copper Statue of Liberty ($32) from Robbie Moriarity, also of Louisville. Key chain melodies: The hip HitClips Micro Music System is a sound system on a key chain that plays postage stamp-size chips featuring a song by a top pop group from N'Sync to Britney Spears, Pink and Dream. The munchkin-size chips come three to a pack, each on a key chain ($9.99) and can be played on these key chain mini-machines: HitClips Micro Personal Player, the size of a quarter with a single earpiece ($7.99); HitClips Rockin' Micro Boombox, a 2-by-3-inch mini sound system ($9.99); HitClips Groove Machine ($14.99) with a mini microphone so you can sing along with the stars ($14.99); HitClips Telephone ($19.99) with ear clip and belt-clip, that plays clips over the phone, and HitClips Watch ($14.99) with an earphone and 18-inch cord. Plush bottoms: There's almost nothing cuter than a baby's bottom. But ZooFitters come close. The plush diaper covers that look like cuddly stuffed animal faces will turn your infant's fanny into a duck, bear, puppy, leopard or pink teddy bear head. They fit, like a diaper, with Velcro closings in front and elastic leg openings. Like everything that goes on a baby, they're washable.
