Mt. Auburn man dies after being shot in car

        Brent Johnson, 37, of Mount Auburn, was fatally shot Tuesday morning while sitting in his car at the intersection of Reading Road and Chalfonte Place in Avondale.

        Mr. Johnson was taken to University Hospital, where he underwent surgery and was pronounced dead.

        According to Cincinnati police, a man approached Mr. Johnson's car shortly before 3 a.m. and shot several times into the vehicle.

        The car then traveled several hundred feet south and came to rest against a fence outside Southern Baptist Church.

        The suspect is described as a black male who is slim and about 5 feet, 8 inches tall. He was wearing a black-hooded sweat shirt and dark pants.
