Voters in Felicity-Franklin school district approved a bond issue and a 0.5-mill levy, while residents in the Goshen Local Schools district voted against the repeal of a 1 percent income tax there.

        In Felicity-Franklin, the levy and bond issue passed, 63.84 percent to 36.16 percent, with 100 percent of precincts reporting. The vote was 987 to 559.

        The $1.3 million bond issue is the district's share of a $15 million project to build a high school and make other improvements to the district's schools.

        The levy will provide $26,000 annually to maintain the schools after the building project is complete.

        Taxes will increase $61 annually on a house assessed at $100,000.

        With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Clermont County residents and a handful of Warren County residents in the Goshen Local Schools district voted against the repeal of the 1 percent income tax, 61.19 percent to 38.80 percent. The vote was 1,951 to 1,237.

        The income tax, approved 11 years ago, is expected to the district bring $2 million this year.
