Promotions & new on the job

        • Christopher Marshall has been appointed asset/liability manager at Fifth Third Bank. Mr. Marshall is responsible for managing a group that develops analytics and strategies focused on the balance sheet profile of the company. He comes to Fifth Third from GMAC Mortgage Asset Management Inc., where he was senior vice president and asset/liability manager. He graduated from Columbia Graduate School of Business and Ohio State University. He completed one year of his undergraduate study at Harvard University.

        • Jamie Chalfin has joined LPK (Libby Perszyk Kathman) as an intern in financial services, and Stephanie Cameron has joined as a client services intern.

        • Shannon Voss has been named media planner/buyer at Freedman, Gibson & White.

        • Stephen T. MacConnell has been named president and chief executive officer at Cincinnati Union Bethel, a not-for-profit social service agency. Mr. MacConnell joins the agency from Family Service of the Cincinnati Area, where he was executive vice president. He is a former managing partner of the law firm Kepley, MacConnell & Eyrich and a member of the American and Ohio Bar Associations and the Cincinnati Bar Foundation, and is a past president of the Cincinnati Bar Association.

        • Robert Hall, Tom Breiner, and Glenn Bueker have joined Jefferson Wells International Inc. as accounting consultants; Ron Heginbotham as internal audit consultant; David W. Penley, director of implementation and process improvement; Rebecca Burton, office administrator; Janice Sloan has been named business development manager; A.J. Schreiver has joined as director of accounting and tax; and Lori Fox has been named business development manager.

        • Bruce A. Macaulay has been named group vice president, grocery merchandising at The Kroger Co. Mr. Macaulay has been with the company for 27 years.

        • Bruce Arrowood has joined Cintech Solutions, developer of interaction management software, as sales director for the Southeast region of the U.S.

        • Donna L. Freeman, co-owner of Resonate Inc., a Cincinnati financial planning firm, has joined SS&G Investment Services LLC, as director in the Cincinnati office. Ms. Freeman will continue to serve her Resonate clients in addition to her new role with SS&G.

        • Jeff Rexhausen has been named associate director of research for the Greater Cincinnati Center for Economic Education at the University of Cincinnati.

        • Theresa Rizzo Reekers has joined Cindy B! Realtors as the company's Campbell County specialist, working with buyers and sellers. Ms. Reekers, a lifelong Campbell County resident, has more than eight years of residential real estate experience in Campbell County. Prior to joining Cindy B! Realtors, she worked for West Shell.

        • Dr. Terri Roth has been named vice president, animal sciences at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, and Alicia Bridgeland Lampe as director of development.

        • Lisa Ledwin has joined Comey & Shepherd Realtors as an associate specializing in residential sales in the Montgomery office.

        • Jennifer Ekey has been appointed director of Fort Hamilton Healthcare Foundation. Ms. Ekey will be responsible for directing the annual fund drive, grant writing, capital campaigns, planned giving opportunities and special events such as the Medical Community Achievement Award Celebration and sponsorship for DamFest. In her year with the Fort Hamilton Healthcare Corp., she has served as director of major gifts for both the Fort Hamilton Healthcare Foundation and The Colonial Foundation. She was vice president of membership for the Greater Hamilton Chamber of Commerce.

        • Pat Popp has joined Cincinnati Floor Co. as administrative assistant/office manager for the sales department.

        • Dwight Sargent has joined Huff Realty as sales associate in the Florence office.

        • Matt Dietz has joined Schiff, Kreidler-Shell Inc. as account executive, specializing in the sale of commercial and personal insurance.

        • Mary Lynn Tate, Curt C. Hartman and James M. Williams have joined Ulmer & Berne LLP as associates in the litigation department of the Cincinnati office.

        • Janet Taylor has been named vice president and general manager at Cincinnati Arts Association, and Kathleen Norris, vice president, development.

        • Thomas D. Anthony, former president and chief executive officer for PacifiCare of Ohio Inc., has joined Frost Brown Todd LLC as counsel in the corporate and business department.

        • John Vince has been named vice president/sales manager of the Fort Mitchell office of Sibcy Cline Realtors. The following have joined as residential real estate specialists: Peggie Eilerman Frey and Bob Wolf, Western Hills office; and David J. Wagoner, Northern Hills. Joined as specialized real estate sales associates: Mark Robinson, West Chester; Elizabeth L. Snyder and Mike Miano, Eastgate; and Mitzie Williams has joined as sales associate, Anderson.

        • Vicki Mintz has joined BHDP Architecture as accounting clerk.

        • Mark Celsor has joined Metaphor Studio, a professional advertising and Internet services firm, as technologist. Mr. Celsor is responsible for the development of e-commerce solutions, databases and applications for client Web sites.

        • Earl Hatt has been appointed to the board of trustees of East Walnut Hills mental health agency, CRI.

        • Patricia Schroer has been named president and chief executive officer of Mercy Hospital Anderson. Ms. Schroer has served as Mercy Hospital Anderson's interim president. In her 25-year career with Mercy, she has held numerous positions. Before serving as Anderson's interim president, she was the hospital's chief nursing officer.

        • Steven J. Bell has been named vice president of sales and marketing at Universal Document Management Systems Inc.

Awards & honors

       : • The Cincinnati Chapter of the American Marketing Association has selected ArtWorks as the first recipient of what is to be its annual Community Impact Award for developing and marketing the 2000 Big Pig Gig in Cincinnati.

        • Multi-Craft Litho Inc., a commercial sheet-fed printer in Newport, has been awarded the Silver Award from the International Association of Printing House Craftsmen Inc., in recognition of printing excellence for superb craftsmanship in the production of their self-promotion impact brochure 2001.

        • Horizon Productions Inc. has received the 2001 Aegis Award for a 15-minute video produced for ATC-Frost Magnetics Inc. “Above the Best” was honored in the promotional/sales category for its outstanding production quality by a distinguished panel of judges representing industry professionals from around the country.
