Thomas More 28, Hanover 21
HANOVER, Ind. Curtis Williams rushed for 153 yards and two touchdowns, leading Thomas More over Hanover 28-21.
The Panthers rushed for 337 yards and scored twice in the first quarter, starting with a 27-yard run by Williams and ending with a 14-yard run by Justin Frisk with 1:04 left in the period.
Williams scored on a 36-yard run at the end of the second quarter to put the Saints (2-0) up 21-7 at the half.
After Hanover fumbled at the start of the third quarter, the Panthers increased their lead with a 4-yard touchdown pass from Greg Harris to Ryan Woodie.
Hanover (1-1) scored twice after that on TD passes from Brett Dietz to Matt Manion and Stephen Lyon.
The victory was the eighth straight over two seasons for Thomas More.
