The second annual 36-hole Huntington Bank Southern Ohio PGA Open is Monday at Four Bridges Country Club and the Heritage Club.
Last year Jim Herman (UC, St.Xavier) posted 12 birdies and an eagle en route to a 6-under-par 136 and one-stroke victory in the 36-hole inaugural event. Herman earned $4,000 in his pro debut.
Earlier, he won the Fifth Third Celebrity Pro-Am at Kings Island and Greater Cincinnati Metropolitan ans an amateur.
He won't be defending his Southern Ohio PGA Open title. He's busy playing the Golden Bear Tour in Florida, where he finished tied for 42nd last week.
But former two-time Met Amateur champion Kyle Voska (Miami, St.Xavier), fresh from a victory in the Developmental Players Tour event last week Warner Robbins, Ga., is entered in the Southern Ohio Open.
