OSU student in honor society
Jennifer Drust of Anderson Township has accepted membership into the Ohio State University Chapter of the Golden Key National Honor Society. Membership into the society is by invitation to the top 15 percent of juniors and seniors in all fields of study.
Sports Hall of Fame
The following were named to the Reading High School Sports Hall of Fame:
Jeff Bullock, class of 1965, who played football, wrestledand ran track; Rick Christophel, class of 1971, who played football, basketball and baseball; Mark Swanner, class of 1980, who played football and baseball; Shaun Schiller, class of 1989, who played football and basketball; and Jon Vance, class of 1991, who wrestled and played football.
The Hall of Fame Committee presented its Blue Devil Award to longtime public address announcer and Reading High School volunteer, Richard Morgan.
The following gymnasts from Acrocheer Tumbling & Cheerleading in Fairfield qualified to compete at the USA Gymnastics Tumbling and Trampoline 2001 Junior Olympics National Championships in San Antonio, Texas:

Glen Este High School valedictorian Christina Budai has received a Northern Kentucky University Distinguished Scholar Award consisting of full out-of-state tuition, housing and a meal plan. She also has been accepted into the honors program.
The daughter of Donna and Michael Budai of Eastgate plans to major in justice studies.
