Florence man indicted following U.S. 42 death

        A Boone County grand jury has indicted a Florence man involved in a head-on collision last month on U.S. 42 between Frogtown and Ridge roads.

        Jimmy D. Good, 21, faces one count of second-degree manslaughter, eight counts of second-degree assault and one count of wanton endangerment.

        Each of the manslaughter and assault charges carries a prison tern of five to 10 years. Wanton endangerment is punishable by one to five years in prison.

        Police said Mr. Good's 1986 Pontiac Grand Am was traveling west when it collidedwith an eastbound 1992 Plymouth inivan. One person died in the wreck which injured 10. The indictment says Mr. Good caused the wreck by trying to pass a garbage truck in a no-passing zone.
