Perkins reaches Metro Majors' final
Opponent must win two for title

MIAMITOWN Perkins reached the Major Division finals in the 49th Annual ASA Cincinnati Metro City Tournament and awaits the loser's bracket winner at 8 p.m. today
Perkins won the winner's bracket by beating Cooper Sports/Pohlman Tire/Worth 31-17 Saturday night. Cooper will play EMR Worth at 5:30 today. Whichever team advances will have to beat Perkins twice today for the championship.
EMR, the defending champion, defeated Batesville K of C 20-8 Saturday. EMR and has battled back after losing in the first round to Freeze Concrete/Nike. Batesville eliminated Freeze from the tournament Friday night 24-22.
A DIVISION: Four teams remained in the winner's bracket Saturday: Tiny Town Pizza/TPS, Local 392 Blue, Western Hills Windows/TPS and Taylor Made. Six teams remain today after Saturday night's games. Taylor Made played an extra game because of the draw and advanced to the winners' bracket semifinals with a 3-0 record.
B DIVISION: Ten of the 66 teams that started are still alive. The four in the winners' bracket are Bullseye Screen Printing, R&D Decorating, Design Concepts/PWS and Multi Serv/RWI.
James S. Arnold/Angilo's/Isoc Net, Paradise Sports, EAP/Worth, Bert Jacobs DDS/Goodtimes II, Indian Springs and Whit Entertainment are still playing in the losers' bracket.
After losing early in the tournament, EAP, Jacobs, Indian Springs and Whit will need four wins today for a shot at the championship.
C DIVISION, AMERICAN: Twelve teams remain. Endurance Siding is 5-0 in the division. Muenchen Furniture is 5-1 and played an extra game before losing to Fort Mitchell Sports Bar in the winners' bracket semifinals. Endurance will play Fort Mitchell in the winners' final.
John Morrell/Nieman Plumbing and Trames Shirts-N-Such/ Up N Ya are still playing after losing in the first round.
C DIVISION, NATIONAL: A dozen teams are left. Tim's 52 Bar/Riemeier Lumber has won six games and was the first to qualify for the final game in the winners' bracket. They played Who Cares Sports Bar in the final winners' bracket game late Saturday night.
D DIVISION, AMERICAN: Crosley Sports Bar/Deer Park Roof, VCS/Roost Lounge, Habits Cafe and the Parkland remain in the winners' bracket. All those teams will play at least two games today.
D DIVISION, NATIONAL: The Scrubs, 5-1, lost their first game and are still in the Metro after winning their first game early Saturday. Two more games werescheduled Saturday night. Shopshire Insurance, the Riverdogs, United Building Supply and J&D Landscaping remain in the winners' bracket.
