Today's Company: Lesaint Logistics
Streamlining Specialist: Headquartered in Fairfield, LeSaint Logistics operates a 240,000-square-foot facility in Trenton. Its main function is to provide a just in time delivery service to Miller Brewery's four can lines and four bottle lines. In accordance with Miller's production schedule, LeSaint loads the cans or bottles onto roller-bed trailers, which are unloaded directly onto Miller's roller system.
Beer Buddies: LeSaint's partners in the Trenton operation are Ball Metal, which manufactures the cans, and Owens Brockway, maker of the beer bottles. Both types of containers are stored at LeSaint until needed at the brewery.
Truckin': The company drives about 200 trucks a day in and out of the Miller plant to support the brewery's production schedule.
Here And There: LeSaint's warehouse, load and distributing services are provided through facilities in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida and California.
