Man dies in hotel pool




        DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP — An 18-year-old Cleveland man died after diving into a motel pool Sunday night.

        James L. Sawyer was pronounced dead at Bethesda North Hospital.

        He had been among a group of teens who had been swimming at the Kings Island Inn, 5691 Kings Island Dr.

        Around 10:35 p.m. Sunday, Mr. Sawyer dove into the shallow end of an indoor pool and struck his head on the bottom, the Warren County Sheriff's Office said.
