Resources for grandparents raising grandkids

        • Ohio Parent Information and Resource Center of Lighthouse Youth Services, 5812 Madison Road, Madisonville, sponsors a Grandparents Support Group, 10 a.m. every fourth Thursday, Madisonville Senior Center. 272-0273.

        • Grandparents Support Group (for grandparents whose grandchildren are served by Cincinnati Center for Developmental Disabilities). Contact Peter Keiser, 636-8365.

        • Grandmothers Support Group, sponsored by Mercy Connections, 2540 Woodburn Ave., Walnut Hills. 221-7331.

        • Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group, sponsored by Kenton County Cooperative Extension Service, 7-8 p.m. every fourth Thursday, Lakeside Christian Church, 195 Buttermilk Pike, Lakeside Park. Free child care. 859-356-3155.

        • Coalition for Relatives Raising Children, which provides resources and education, promotes community awareness and identifies needs of grandparents/relatives raising children. The coalition meets at 10 a.m. the fourth Tuesday of every other month. The next meeting is 10 a.m. July 24 at the Campbell County Extension Service. New members welcome. 859-356-3155.

        • Beech Acres offers parenting classes (231-6630) and the ParentSource Info Line to answer parenting questions (751-0400). Questions can also be asked at Beech Acres offers For the Love of Kids, an annual parenting conference, Nov. 3-4 at Northern Kentucky Convention Center.
