Ex-champs to decide Ohio Women's Amateur

WARREN, Ohio Former champions Emily Bastel and Pat Milton will compete in a 36-hole match today for the Women's Ohio State Amateur golf championship at the Trumbull Country Club.
Bastel, of Upper Sandusky, the 1999 champion, defeated Heather Zielinski of Sylvania 5-and-4, and Milton, of Munroe Falls, who won the tournament in 1988, eliminated Shelly Binzel of Dublin 2-up in Thursday's semifinals.
In the quarterfinals earlier Thursday, Bastel ousted Gabby Wedding of Wilimington 7-and-6, Milton posted a 4-and-2 decision over 1981 champion Mary Ann Bierman of Chagrin Falls, Zielinski downed Leigh Ann Griffin of Dublin 4-and-3, and Binzel defeated Patty Kuehner of Cincinnati 2-and-1.
