Fans can join celebrity and local golfers at the Fifth Third Bank/Fox 19 Celebrity Classic today and Sunday at the Golf Center at Kings Island.
Fox analyst and former Bengal Cris Collinsworth and former Reds catcher Johnny Bench host the event, a fund-raiser for the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
Tickets are free, but a $5 parking donation is requested. Play begins at noon both days. The event also will be broadcast on Channel 19 beginning at 4:30 p.m. today and 4 p.m. Sunday.
Celebrities scheduled to attend include Survivor's Elisabeth Filarski; Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Corolla, stars of Comedy Central's The Man Show; ESPN broadcaster Tom Jackson; Fox analyst Howie Long; retired Reds pitcher Tom Browning; and retired Bengals Ken Anderson and Boomer Esiason.
It's also an important event for the local golf community. The tournament, billed as the Masters of Cincinnati, will feature some of the top local club pro and amateur players. The pros are vying for an $8,000 first prize.
