Ind. day-care licenses pulled
MARION, Ind. State officials have revoked the day-care licenses of two women amid allegations they routinely gave children in their care NyQuil cold medicine to make sure they slept at nap times.
Linda Dickey and her daughter, Tina Kidwell, were notified by letter earlier this week by the Family and Social Services Administration that their license had been revoked.
County officials declined to say whether they will seek a court order to close the women's home day-care center, Kiddy Kare, if Ms. Dickey and Ms. Kidwell appeal the loss of their licenses.
An investigation by the Grant County Office of Family and Children turned up five violations of Indiana's child-care laws and regulations at the facility.
