More than $450 was raised at a car wash Saturday to benefit Harry and Jan Jensen of Fairfield, whose home was burnt in a fire last week.
The car wash was the brainchild of Madison Oravec, 7, a neighbor of the Jensens. She originally want ed to have a car wash to raise money for the poor, but after the fire, Madison decided it should help her neighbors.
They need money to help them with their house and the hospital bills, said Madison, who along withfriends also sold Kool-Aid and lemonade.
