Hearing rescheduled in sexual-abuse case
The Cincinnati Enquirer
FAIRFIELD A hearing for a former Fairfield music teacher charged with sexually abusing a female former student has been rescheduled for 9 a.m. June 6 in Fairfield Municipal Court.
Brian D. Schweikert, 40, of Fairfield will be arraigned on one count of sexual battery, a third-degree felony, in connection with at least one incident in June 1996. If convicted, Mr. Schweikert faces one to five years in prison, a maximum fine of $10,000 and loss of his teaching license.
Mr. Schweikert resigned his teaching position hours before his May 25 arrest. School officials alerted police to possible misconduct after a 22-year-old woman told her story to a teacher at the high school who alerted administrators.
