EPA to hold hearing on moorings

        Ohio Environmental Protection Agency officials are holding a public information session and hearing June 6 on a proposal by Lone Star Industries to build four mooring cells for barges on the Ohio River in Cincinnati.

        The 23-foot cells would allow barges to load along the 6300 block of U.S. 50 in Cincinnati.

        The public meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Sayler Park Community Center, 6720 Home City Ave.

        Written comments about Lone Star's proposal will be accepted through June 13.
