N.Ky. baseball highlights
Simon Kenton beats Boone 8-3
Simon Kenton scored seven runs in the first two innings en route to an 8-3 victory over Boone County in a District 33 first round tournament game at Conner High School.
Brett Vandergriff and Josh Parrott powered the early inning surge with two-run doubles. Parrott struck out six to improve to 4-1 on the season.
Simon Kenton will face St. Henry in the semifinals Wednesday at Conner.

Tournament games at Owen County, Thomas More College, Covington Catholic, Highland Park and Campbell County were all postponed because of rain. The district tournament schedule will push back one day and resume as scheduled.
