Promotions & new on the job




        • David C. Horn has been named vice president and general counsel at AK Steel. Mr. Horn will be responsible for the legal environmental affairs and industrial relations functions. He joined the company as assistant general counsel in 2000. He previously represented AK Steel as outside counsel through Frost Brown Todd LLC, where he last served as partner and member of the executive committee. He holds a bachelor's degree from Yale and received his law degree from Vanderbilt School of Law.

        • Joe Mock has been appointed manager of the Milford office at Coldwell Banker West Shell. The following have joined Coldwell Banker West Shell as real estate sales associates: Sandra Guenther, Georgia Day, Billie Achor, Laura Stroh, Nathan Stroh, and Kathy Perkins, Crestview Hills; Ann Scruggs, Northwest; and Lori Neltner, Wyoming.

        • Mary Aug, owner of Mary Aug Ltd., has been elected to serve on the board of directors of East Walnut Hills mental health agency, CRI.

        • Scott A. Crisler has joined Dinsmore & Shohl LLP as an associate in the litigation department. Mr. Crisler has more than six years of litigation experience. Before joining Dinsmore & Shohl, he worked at a law firm in Atlanta, practicing business litigation. He received his law degree from the University of Oklahoma and his bachelor's degree from the University of Geor gia. He is admitted to practice in Georgia and Washington, D.C.

        • Barry F. Fagel and Brian M. Kneafsey Jr. have become shareholders of Lindhorst & Dreidame, a legal professional association, and Terese M. Wells and Joel L. Peschke have become associates.

        • Melanie Roth Hesse has joined BHDP Architecture as interior designer.

        • Elizabeth Riczko has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer of personal lines of The Ohio Casualty Insurance Co. Ms. Riczko is a graduate of Pennsylvania's Muhlenberg College, where she received a bachelor's degree in physics and mathematics. She joined the firm in 1992 as a senior actuarial assistant and and later held the position of manager, department head, assistant secretary, vice president and senior vice president and treasurer.

        • Ryan Clark has joined Wireless Knowledge Inc. as regional account manager in Ohio and Kentucky.

        • Amy Bishop has been named account executive with Loth Mbi, and Jerri Seidl has joined the firm as account executive.

        • John F. Barrett, president and chief executive officer, Western-Southern Life Insurance Co., will succeed Daniel J. Meyer, chairman and chief executive officer, Milacron Inc., as chairman of the Cincinnati Business Committee, and Philip R. Cox, president, Cox Financial Corp., will serve as vice chairman and will succeed Mr. Barrett in 2003.

        • C. Thomas Dupuis and Richard K. Graham have be come of counsel with Rendigs, Fry, Kiely & Dennis, L.L.P., and Paul J. Kellogg and George J. Zamary have become associates.

        • Heather Piazza has been named project coordinator for Alexander-Patterson Group. Ms. Piazza brings more than five years of construction project and bid coordinating experience to APG. After attending Western Kentucky University, she joined Southeastern Building Corp., a residential builder and developer with offices in Nashville, Tenn., In 1998, she joined the R.G. Anderson Co. Inc., a commercial contracting and engineering firm also located in Nashville. As project coordinator for APG, she provides coordination, tracking and scheduling of projects.

        • Anne C. Fredrickson has joined SMART Healthcare Services Corp. as director of sales. Ms. Fredrickson is responsible for sales development, strategic planning and client expansion in Ohio. Indiana, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Illinois and Kentucky. She has more than 20 years of health care and geriatrics experience. She holds a master's in gerontology from Miami University and a master's degree in hospital and health administration from Xavier University.

        • The following have joined Huff Realty as sales associates: Andrea Grayson Miller, Florence; Louise Northcutt, Western Hills; and Audrey Allen and Jay Mehn, Anderson Township.
