Gaga for Greenhornes

Yes, that's Cincinnati's own Greenhornes in the May 11 issue of Entertainment Weekly. The band is featured in an article on the garage-rock revival.

The story mentions that former garage rocker Steve Van Zandt, of E Street Band and Sopranos fame, is co-promoting the Underground Garage Saturdays concert series at Manhattan's Village Underground, “booking acts both old (the Zombies) and new (the Greenhornes).”

The group also made the No.2 spot in EW's accompanying five-band list, “Garage D'Or: A Guide to the New Three-Chord Stomp.”

The Greenhornes' new, self-titled CD is mentioned, and the band is described as a “soulful Ohio quintet reminiscent of the early Animals; they sound swell in fast or slow mode.”
