Jerri Roberts not only works with art, she wears it as well. The Wyoming resident and manager of marketing and communications for the Taft Museum of Art calls her favorite jacket, The Picasso Jacket because of its contemporary design in satin and embroidery.
She is always dressed to the nines without overdoing it, and she manages to find her clothes at incredible bargain prices, says nominator Betty Rosenthal.
Describe your style: Eclectic, funky, definitely into the arts world, with long skirts and dangly earrings.
Signature look: A co-worker calls me Sparkles because I usually have something glittery or shiny as part of my outfit. I also have a lot of colorful shoes and boots that I get teased about.
You are never without: A watch. I've been known to go back home to get one. I've had to upsize my jewelry box because I bought so many. I started collecting Swatch watches. I guess I have over 50. There's a Swatch Watch store in almost every town in Europe. Even Istanbul, Athens.
You can be found shopping: At Nordstrom's, Jacobson's, and I love shopping at boutiques in Florida. There's a whole style of Florida clothes. The great boutiques are usually run by retirees from up north. And I live at DSW Shoes.
You wouldn't be caught dead in: Black. People who wear black seem afraid of their own style. And on most people it's not very flattering.
You can never have enough: Socks. I have over 100 pairs. The socks were overflowing the drawers, and I finally had to put them in wicker baskets. I have a lot of funky socks, glittery, in all sorts of colors.
