Promotions & new on the job

        • Dr. Charles Miller, an orthopedic surgeon who has served Greater Cincinnati's eastern communities for more than 12 years, has joined Wellington Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine. Dr. Miller will provide general orthopedic care, including joint replacement and arthroscopic surgery. He received his medical degree from Ohio State University and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Va.

        • Bill Mahlock has been named vice president/support and installations for Digital Collections, part of Gannett Media Technologies International, a subsidiary company of Gannett Co. Inc.

        • Derrick D. Shannon has been named assistant vice president of Ohio Casualty Insurance Co. Mr. Shannon joined the company in 1999 as an associate actuary in the personal lines pricing department. In 2000, he was named director of operations for Avonmark Insurance Co. He is a graduate of Indiana's Wabash College, where he received a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics.

        • Chris Rothgeb has been named Internet process manager at Strata-G Interactive, and Stacey Marovich joined as Internet applications developer.

        • Eileen Horvath has been appointed manager of the Wyoming branch of the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, and Steven Backs manager of the West End branch.

        • The following have been named new members of the Middletown Regional Health System board of trustees: Charles Barton, first vice president, First National Bank of Southwestern Ohio in Middletown; Susan Purkrabek-Knust, manager of K.P. Properties, a real estate management company; and Roland West, president and chief executive officer of Roland West & Associates in Cincinnati, a management consulting firm.

        • Scott Houk has joined Ernst & Young as manager with the firm's Health Care Advisory Services practice.

        • Dan Flesch has joined Symphony Communications as graphic designer, and Stephen Wetzel as marketing consultant.

        • Bethesda Foundation Inc. has named current board trustee Charles C. Brown as chairman, new trustee J. Leland Brewster as vice chairman and Dr. Susan Weinberg and Dr. Morton Harshman as trustees.

        • Dale Andel has joined Sibcy Cline Realtors as Realtor in the Anderson Township office.

        • A. John Gerlach has joined Obie Media Corp. as account manager in the Cincinnati office.

        • Glenn Kukla has joined Cincinnati Development Fund as loan officer, and Kathleen O'Rourke Brookshire joined as asset manager.

        • Shannon R. Martin has been named youth coordinator at Memorial Community Center Inc., and Dana Marshall has been named education coordinator.

        • Michael Gallo has been named vice president of sales at Southwestern Ohio Steel Inc., and Randy Sagraves director of sales for the Southern region.

        • Brian Murphy has joined CRI, a mental health agency in East Walnut Hills, as director of administration. Before joining CRI, Mr. Murphy spent the last 26 years working for AT&T in information technology. His background is in project management and software development.

        • Dana E. Boll has been named design manager for Settingpace, a communications art group; Paul Brinkdopke has has been named production artist; and Jon Bogart has been named project manager.

        • Keith A. Hock has joined Arthur Andersen as business consulting manager in the regional litigation consulting group. Mr. Hock graduated from Miami University in 1991 with a bachelor's degree in accountancy and economics. He spent the first year of his career in the commercial audit division of Arthur Andersen. In 1992, he began work in Arthur Andersen's litigation services group.

        • Richard Kjellstrom has been appointed general manager at Beckett Ridge Country Club in West Chester Township.

        • Bill Mann has been named production sales manager at PPS Group, Cincinnati. Mr. Mann will be responsible for developing new business in the area of high-quality visual communications for corporations nationwide. He graduated from Ohio University in 1993, where he received a bachelor's degree in communications. He was regional account manager for Curtis Inc., Cincinnati.

        • Douglas E. Dixon has been named assistant vice president, additional distribution channels at Western and Southern Life Insurance Co., and Stephen G. Hussey assistant vice president and director of planning.

        • Bethany E. Rustic has joined Turner Construction Co. in business development.

        • Giles T. Hertz and William J. Patterson have joined the law firm of Finney, Stagnaro, Saba & Klusmeier Co., LPA as associates.

        • Brian Hearing has joined Triple-I Systems as vice president of solutions.

        • Trace Deaton has joined Pete's PhotoWorld Inc. as commercial marketing director.

        • Eric Becker has joined MRK Technologies as regional account executive.

        • Richard Ordeman has joined ATC Associates Inc. as senior project manager in the environmental division in Cincinnati, and Gary Simmons has been named Cincinnati branch manager.

        • Elaine Baker has been named overnight supervisor at Advanced Regional Traffic Interactive Management and Information System (ARTIMIS); Chris Eveslage has been named traveler information manager; and Jim Hungler has been named supervisor.

        • Teresa Kohn has joined the Angus Group as consultant. Ms. Kohn has 10 years of recruiting experience in health care. She has a bachelor's degree in organizational communications.

        • Roger Ison has joined Buddy's Carpet & Flooring as chief financial officer.

        • Andrea L. Whiteley has been appointed marketing manager at Leyman Lift Gates. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in communication from Hanover College.

Russ Sanford has joined Resource International Inc., a consulting engineering firm in Blue Ash, as a business development representative.

        • Ronnie Allen and Marc Russell have joined Kingsgate Transportation Services as account representatives, and Jerry Chambers as director of national accounts. Brad Allen has joined the logistics division as division manager, and Toby Marshall has joined as project coordinator.

        • Douglas E. Brueckner has been named president, communications solutions, at Convergys Corp.; Vinay Mehta, vice president, Sprint PCS technical operations; and David Stein, vice president, marketing strategy.

        • Margie Nolting has been named vice president of marketing and business development at The Golf Center at Kings Island; Sherri Cornell-Musser has been named vice president of sales; and Alan Burns vice president of food and beverage.

        • Kevin J. Stahl has been appointed order chain manager for Color Resolutions International LLC, producer of water-based inks for the corrugated industry.
