Cincinnati Youth Collaborative wins civic award
The Cincinnati Enquirer
The Cincinnati Youth Collaborative has received the Spotlight on Solutions Award from the Pew Partnership for Civic Change, a national civic research organization.
The CYC was among 19 programs nationwide chosen to participate in the Wanted: Solutions for America initiative.
For two years, researchers worked with CYC staff to learn about the effectiveness of CYC programs and how to share CYC strategies.
The Cincinnati Youth Collaborative is demonstrating how citizens and organizations from all sectors of the community can mobilize to create hope and opportunity for young people, said Suzanne W. Morse, Pew Partnership executive director.
A Miami University research team is studying the CYC's mentoring program and the Taft Career Academic Program, which helps students advance and connects them to career opportunities.
