Comair, pilots extend talks
By James Pilcher
The Cincinnati Enquirer
Comair's talks with its striking pilots extended into yet another day of bargaining Sunday.
Officials from the National Mediation Board in Washington, D.C. which is playing host to and overseeing the talks confirmed the two sides met yet again Sunday.
The first meetings between the Erlanger-based carrier and its 1,350-member pilots union started Wednesday and were supposed to end Friday. But the two sides met Saturday and again Sunday, and are making scheduling decisions as they go.
Neither officials from the union nor the company would comment on the talks Sunday. The pilots walked out March 26 after talks broke down over work rules, retirement, job protection and pay.
