N.Ky. boys basketball all-stars
Player of the Year - Ronny Dawn, Newport Central Catholic, senior guard: Averaged 20.1 points per game; was named Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches Ninth Region Player of the Year; will attend Marshall University.
Coach of the Year - Dan Sullivan, Campbell County: Led Camels to a 22-8 record and the school's first 10th Region title since 1960.
First team
Gino Guidugli, Highlands, senior forward: Averaged 18.2 points and 7.0 rebounds per game; shot 54 percent from the field; will attend the University of Cincinnati on a football scholarship.
Kevin Reinhardt, Campbell County, junior forward: Averaged 20.5 points and 11 rebounds per game; was named Northern Kentucky Athletic Conference Division I Player of the Year.
Ross Neltner, Highlands, sophomore center: averaged 15.7 points and 9.5 rebounds per game, shot 58 percent from the field and added 95 blocked shots.
Chad McCarter, Silver Grove, senior guard: averaged 23.9 points, 5.2 assists, 2.5 steals and 4.9 rebounds per game. He is the school's career scoring leader.
Chris Thompson, Scott, senior guard: averaged 17.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game; became the second leading scorer in school history.
